Travelling Pattern

Dear All

Due to my stitching mojo getting up and leaving for some time I have lost where we are with the Travelling Pattern.

Can someone enlighten me and I will try to keep up from now on.

I am so sorry I have been absent, but hope to get back into my stitching and my blog now that my mojo is slowly creeping out of hibernation.

Many thanks
Sarahmoo xx

I have treated myself ........

Well .................. seeing as I have not bought any stash since last year I thought it about time I sorted out that little problem!!

I have had my eye on a few Biscornu patterns and so have treated myself.
Although I dont need to teach myself how to make Biscornu I love the patterns in this book and just had to have it.

I have loved the above pattern for a long time and gave in!!!

This one will be part of a Give Away later on in the year, perhaps around Valentines!!

Happy New Year and a look back at our Christmas

One Christmas Eve Eve, I cooked as Mum was cooking on Christmas Day.  I made Tomato Tart Tartin with Goats Cheese (above).

Above are my 3 cheese and onion muffins, delicious!!!

Above is Ina Garten's warm Artichoke Salad it was to die for

And above is Jamie Olivers Winter Root Coleslaw, they didnt have a mandolin or food processor so I had to grate everything ......... gggrrrrr!!!!

In the summer we went to Spain and picked up some cured iberico ham and pork loin which I froze and kept for Christmas and served up with some North Yorshire Roasted Belly Pork.

For dessert we had oranges in Marsala and I made a mincemeat and marsala ice cream which I forgot to photograph!!

There are some great Cafe's in Masham and above is a Masham Brekky that my hubby had, all the ingredients and locally grown, the sausage and bacon were lovely ..... so he said, I had mushrooms on toast which were delicious.

On the Thursday after Christmas we went to Harrogate and had brunch in Betty's Tearooms Mum and I had eggs benedict on toasted English muffins and the most wonderful tea.  Dad and Bob of course had the full English and it was all very delicious; though I have to say that I thought the Masham brekky was better value for money - but you have to do Betty's once in a while.  Next time we will just have afternoon tea.

On Boxing Day it is tradition for the Hunt to meet in the market square with all the hounds and horses.

Below is one of our favourite shops in Masham, though we didnt go in this time!!

Today is New Years Day and we are waiting for my daughter and her boyfriend Amir to arrive.  I have been busy in the kitchen!!

BAKING!!

Lemon Cupckaes

3 Cheese and Onion Muffins - becoming a firm family favourite!!

Rum Truffle Cake Pops

And we have some rather lovely Marks and Spencer Party Food to be enjoyed alongside this lot

I dont think we will go hungry some how and it will all be washed down with Bubbles of course!!!

Happy New Year Everyone may you all experience, happiness, love, good health and good times through out 2013

Here's to another year in blogland with my wonderful blog pals

One more post before Christmas

Yesterday when I got home from work after a busy busy day I received this lovely card and ornie from Glenda on CSE Yahoo group.  It is a lovely ornie one that sits on the Christmas Tree branch and a lovely card too.  Glenda thank you so much it really cheered me up and I love it.

Just to show that I have been stitching a little bit on my WIPs above is my progress on Emily Peacocks Hug and below is my progress on Cross Eyed Crickets Spring.

This year we are going away for Christmas to Masham (silent H) the home of Theakston's Ale and we have a cottage for a week with Mum and Dad.  We will be staying at Avenue Cottage piccies below

I am sure we will take lots of photos as we are planning on visiting Ripon and Harrogate whilst we are there.  Betty's tea room is a must in Harrogate.

Christmas Ornie and Cake Pops

This ornie was for my exchange partner Lori in the USA, I had great fun putting this together and am so pleased she liked it.

I am so pleased too that the ornie arrived safely.

My other venture this month was my first attempt at Cake Pops

These are such fun to do and I first saw them on the internet and
decided to experiment,
my friends at work were very happy to be the guinea pigs!!

I have been told they were delicious and very professional looking,
not for me to say but
I am pleased with my first attempt and will be making more in the future.

Half were rum and chocolate the other were vanilla and cream cheese.  The rum ones had white chocolate on and the vanilla had 70% cocoa chocolate.

Sorry it's been so long, I will have more updates sometime after Christmas, but we are preparing for a Christmas away and life is very busy right now.

Merry Christmas everyone and all good wishes for 2013

Take care and gentle hugs to all xxxx
