A New Christmas Start

I couldnt resist starting one of my new Lizzie Kate chart/floss kits and I chose LK Christmas ABC to be seasonal:
Here is how much I have done so far, I started it last night and have done a little more this afternoon/evening.

It's lovely to stitc and there are not too many colours to keep changing either, the threads are Crescent Colours hand-dyed floss which I have never used before but love.

Bitten by the Humbug!!

I saw Meari's Humbug sent to Mare, and got bitten by the bug and just had to have a go at making my own:
I didn't have a pattern so made up my own design and stitched it in a 6 x 3 inch design and split the design up into squares

I then added some beads and a tassle that I had and I think it turned out quite well, what do you think?

Oh Happy Day!!

Wow!! - imagine my delight when I got home and found a package from Pam my partner in ILCS Christmas Ornie Exchange, inside the package I found an envelope and a nicely wrapped gift ......
Inside the envelope was this wonderful card, I couldn't wait to open the package!!!

Oh my goodness, Pam was so very very generous, inside the package there wasn't just one ornament but two and a wonderful scissor fob, 3 gitfs!

You cannot see the true beauty of these gorgeous crafted gifts, the blue beads on Frosty are so irridescent and the snowflake is loose so it is animated, the little cushion orni is so delicately stitched and finished so lovingly and the colours of the beads on the fob just match so well.
Pam I have been truly spoiled you are so very very generous thanks for such a wonderful surprise.

My Stitching Mojo Is Back :o)

I am feeling so much better this evening and as there was no danger in stabbing myself with the needle due to coughing, I decided to finish Part 9 of the Noel SAL:

I started to do the 2009 but have decided I don't like it and will frog that bit and put the Noel there instead tomorrow.
